Today I gave my newly found assistant the day off, and I shot a young, hippie-woman from Arizona who goes by the name of "Butterfly Matron."
She was in town to visit some friends, and we scheduled a shoot a while back, knowing she'd be around.
At first I was a little apprehensive because in my mind I couldn't "picture" how to pose her or what her best features were since previous photos of her were of lower quality, and my memory couldn't remember when I saw her last a year or so ago.
But she arrived at the studio and we made due with what we had.
The purpose of this shoot was for her to do something to remember how she looked in her ripe age of 26 in addition to bringing something creatively different to my table.
I hope I did both of us justice.
